Keith DiMarco

Get to know Keith DiMarco, Production Supervisor at The Metalworking Group (MWG) for 4.5 years.

Q: “What do you do in your role?”

A: “As a Production Supervisor I am responsible for managing the production processes of 10 different departments, such as CNC Machining, Brake Press, Powder Coating, Welding, Tool & Die, General Fabrication, Grinding, CNC Laser Cutting, Punch Presses, and Assembly. I have the privilege of managing 30+ direct reports and it’s my job to ensure projects are on schedule and to address any technical issues or roadblocks that appear, but really every day is different.”

Q: “What is the best part of your job?”

A: “The diversity of work means there is a new challenge every day that I get to solve which makes each day exciting. Since I’m involved in various projects and operations, I’m constantly learning new things. I love that about my job.”

Q: “What is your favorite thing about working at MWG?”

A: “One of the best parts about MWG is the ability to work with so many different people on projects for our customers. It pushes me to think strategically to overcome roadblocks and challenges me to work hard every day. You can tell that MWG employees thrive in this type of environment and it’s great to be a part of.”

Q: “What has been your favorite project so far?”

A: “I had the opportunity to work on a material handling project where MWG manufactured large frames that are used in warehouses for package conveyor infrastructure. This project required MWG to hire additional personnel and create new teams to complete the project. At the time, we had never completed a project with such a large volume, so I enjoyed being a part of the team and making an impact.”

Q: “What has been one of your proudest moments working at MWG?”

A: “About a year ago MWG purchased a folding machine. This technology took a two-person job on a brake press and turned it into a one-person job with the capability to produce complex metal parts. This saved MWG time and money while helping us serve our customers faster. I’m proud that I work for a company that continues to invest in the latest technology so we can better serve our customers.”

Q: “What do you enjoy doing in your free time?”

A: “I’m a musician at heart so when I’m not at work I like to play my guitar and drums. I got into music at a young age because of my grandmother and ended up picking up the guitar and drums at age 13. I still love playing to this day.”
